La Sucrière

In the heart of the festive and dynamic docks of Confluence, this historic industrial building is a unusual venues built in the 1930s, entirely dedicated to culture and corporate events!

Built in the 1930s, La Sucrière underwent a remarkable transformation when it was recently completely renovated in 2011. From an industrial sugar warehouse to a unique event space, this building has become one of the emblematic sites of the Confluence district. La Sucrière has hosted hundreds of national and international events, including the Bocuse d'Or gala dinners, the World Pastry Cup and the Nuits sonores festival.

Le Sucrière was designed to host exhibitions and corporate events (trade shows, conventions, product launches, roadshows...). Right in the heart of the city, it boasts 3,800m2 dedicated to events: 5 balcony terraces with views, spaces for up to 1,500 people for seated catering, 4,000 for cocktails and 1,000 for conferences. La Sucrière enjoys an idyllic setting on the banks of the Saône. The riverbanks can be privatized for your events, with the option of using river shuttles from downtown Lyon. It's the ideal place to organize exceptional events in a warm, contemporary atmosphere.

La Sucrière is also renowned for hosting artistic and cultural exhibitions of national and international renown, in a dedicated 1,700 m² space meeting museum standards. Our site hosted the successful exhibition "The World of Steve McCurry" (150,000 visitors), made history with the worldwide launch of the "Imagine Picasso" exhibition tour (120,000 visitors) in October 2019 and shone with "Tutankhamun, discovering the forgotten pharaoh" (225,000 visitors) in 2022. From October 21, 2023, the exhibition "Elliott Erwitt. A retrospective" at La Sucrière for several months.
