An amazing address dedicated to artistic creation
In the heart of the capital of Gaul stands a typically Lyonnais setting dedicated to artistic creation. Headquarters of the Renaud Foundation for the defense of heritage, the Fort de Vaise is a unique building with multiple purposes. The singular underground passages and casemates stand alongside a rich collection of art objects assembled by the Renaud family.
Built in 1835, the Vaise Fort was part of the first bastioned enclosure surrounding Lyon.
In 1994, the Renaud brothers set up the headquarters of their cultural foundation, which defends heritage and supports artistic creation. It brings together more than 8000 objects and works of art, notably by Lyon painters of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Renovated at the end of 2019 by its owner, it has been hosting professional events since March 2020, boasting an exceptional setting consisting of a panoramic terrace with a breathtaking view of Lyon and highly modular interior spaces.
