La Faiencerie Bordeaux
24 Rue de la Faïencerie, Bordeaux, France

La Faïencerie is the largest receptive space of character in the heart of Bordeaux. With its large 1200m2 plateau, this place steeped in history has retained all its raw and industrial aspect of the 19th century. Located in the heart of downtown Bordeaux, near the quays and the new Jacques Chaban-Delmas bridge, the place can be fitted out for all types of events: gala evenings, dinners, exhibitions, conventions, showrooms, work days, conferences...
More than a simple reception hall, the Faiencerie is a place not to be missed in the life of Bordeaux, witness of the History of Docks de Bordeaux, which will make your event a special and unique moment.
The Faiencerie Vieillard was built by David Johnston, then Mayor of Bordeaux, in 1835, on the ruins of an old tide mill, the "Moulin des Chartrons". Jules Vieillard gave it its letters of nobility in 1845 by making fine earthenware (plates, pots, tureens, etc.) in shades of Chinese blue that can still be found today in most of the attics of the old houses of Bordeaux.
At that time, the factory produced more than 70,000 pieces of fine earthenware per week and employed nearly 700 workers.
The earthenware production activity stopped in 1895, this place then became a storage space for barrels, a boarding room on the Garonne and finally a laundry for a shipping company.
Easy to access - by car, on foot, by bicycle or by streetcar (Les Hangars stop) - the Faïencerie hall allows you to organize your small or large events, from 10 to 600 people.
