Book the Conciergerie, the first royal palace in Paris
Wonderfully located on the banks of the Seine, in the Ile de la Cité, in the heart of Paris, the Conciergerie is a unique place for receptions because of its history and its exceptional set of Gothic rooms built in the 14th century by King Philip the Fair.
From this period, the Conciergerie still has the Guards' room and the huge room of the Gens d'Armes. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is, along with the Sainte-Chapelle, the most important testimony to the first royal palace in Paris.
The three Spaces available to hire of the Conciergerie
These three spaces can accommodate receptions outside the exhibition periods:
- The Hall of the Gens d'Armes is the largest civil medieval hall in Europe. It was built between 1302 and 1313 and served at the time as a refectory for the king's 2000 employees. Today the Salle des Gens d'Armes hosts dinners, cocktail parties and fashion shows in a majestic architecture, witness of seven centuries of history.
- The Hall of the Guards was built around 1310 and served as an antechamber to the King's Great Hall. It is reserved for the reception of guests for gala evenings. It can also be used for cocktails or dinners after a private visit of the monument or a temporary exhibition.
- The kitchens were built during the reign of John the Good (1350-1364). They were used to prepare meals for the king's staff. The medieval kitchens can accommodate a breakfast or a dinner.
The Conciergerie is an exceptional address for various corporate events: product launches, press presentations, cocktail parties, gala dinners...
