The Grandes Ecuries are often considered the most beautiful and largest stables in Europe. An architectural masterpiece of the 18th century, the Grandes Ecuries were built by the architect Jean Aubert for Louis-Henri de Bourbon, 7th Prince of Condé, and are a true palace for horses. Dedicated to hunting, they were transformed into barracks during the Revolution. Starting at In 1815, they came back to life. The Orleans family, heir to the estate in 1830, further developed the importance of horses in Chantilly by creating the racecourse (1834).

The Grandes Écuries have always been the setting for sumptuous receptions. In the 18th century, the princes received kings and high personalities. Today, they house the Horse Museum and are the privileged setting for prestigious events.
