The château of Chantilly is today one of the jewels of French heritage, the work of a man with an exceptional destiny: Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale, son of the last French king, Louis-Philippe. This prince, considered the greatest collector of his time, made Chantilly the setting for his countless masterpieces and precious manuscripts acquired notably during his 23 years of exile in England. Upon his return to France, he created a place dedicated to his treasures, in the heart of his château : the Condé Museum. Today it is considered the second French museum of ancient paintings, after the Louvre.

The Park of the Domaine de Chantilly: an exceptional panorama of the art of the Western garden

With a surface area of 115 hectares, the park of château in Chantilly is the result of several creations carried out according to the fashion of each period: the French garden designed by André Le Nôtre in the 17th century, the Anglo-Chinese garden at the end of the 18th century and the English garden in the 19th century. It thus offers a unique testimony of the relationship between man and nature in the West for more than three centuries.
