Book the Jean-Jacques Henner National Museum to enjoy a muffled and timeless atmosphere
Dive into the artistic Paris of the late 19th century
Located in the Plaine Monceau district,Private Mansion , which houses the Jean-Jacques Henner National Museum, is one of the last remaining testimonies of the artistic, cultural and social effervescence of late 19th century Paris.
This building, remarkable for its decorations and architectural elements borrowed from different eras and civilizations, was originally the property of the painter Guillaume Dubufe
(1853-1909), who had made it his home and studio. Bought in 1921 by Marie Henner, widow of Jean-Jacques Henner's nephew, the house was transformed, particularly in its reception areas on the first floor. The neo-Renaissance salon opened onto the Winter Garden, thanks to a stucco colonnade.
Marie Henner's immediate ambition was to open venues to the public to exhibit her uncle's work. This was done in 1924. Thereafter,Private Mansion was raised and then regularly restored. The museum reopened its doors in May 2016, following a major phase of work that has restored the intimate character that makes the richness of this house-workshop.
BtoB receptions in a privileged setting
The Hitchcockian staircase that runs through the museum gives access to unique spaces that offer a privileged discovery of the paintings of Jean-Jacques Henner (1829-1905). With its winter garden, its salon with neo-Renaissance columns and its two large studios, the Jean-Jacques Henner Museum welcomes your private receptions.
This museum on a human scale, with its muffled and timeless atmosphere, can become, for a day or an evening, the privileged place for your private events: breakfast, meeting, private visit, cocktail party, concert... A journey through time that will not fail to amaze your guests.
