"The beauty of genius is that it resembles everyone and no one resembles it. Honoré de Balzac

Book the Maison de Balzac in Passy: a literary and bucolic business event

On the heights of Passyhillside, a charming bourgeois house with green shutters hides an enchanted secret: the inspired sources of one of the world's one of the world's greatest literary talents, Honoré de Balzac.

In the 1840s, in rooms paved with terracotta tiles or shaded by old trees and groves, the Comédie Humaine was not performed: a man, alone with his genius, wrote it. The Maison de Balzac is a jewel of bucolic simplicity. There's nothing ostentatious or ostentatious about this little piece of countryside in Paris. cultural heritage site with a unique atmosphere and offers us the emotion of rubbing shoulders with the breath of universal works.

The Eiffel Tower seems to have been part of this idyllic setting for all eternity. However, the most Parisian of writers and the Iron Lady never met: it was built almost 40 years after the death of the author of over ninety novels and short stories.

Maison de Balzac: a romantic haven for your B2B meeting

  • In the 650 m2 garden, your guests will enjoy a cocktail reception after an emotional visit to the museum dedicated to the master, under the luminous protection of another Parisian monument: the Eiffel Tower.
  • The Maison de Balzac also hosts film shoots, photo shoots and historical recordings.

The garden with a view on the Eiffel tower is relaxing. The house displays artifacts and sketches that reminds us "La Comédie humaine". It definitely worths a visit.

I didn't know about this until a friend told me. This is the former residence of French novelist Honoré de Balzac. It was in the outskirts of Paris at the time. It was the guest house of a larger estate. It contains a lot of artifacts, drawings, sculptures and writing related to Balzac. The cottage is small but worth visiting. The main attraction for me is the outdoor garden. A lot of flowers and plants and a lot of places just to sit and take in the quiet. A small cafe on site is very nice too. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is completely free to visit. And has one of the best cafes to sit among nature and have a view of the Eiffel.

We found this after seeing a post that it was a good place to see the Eiffel Tower. It is perfect to escape the crowds and enjoy history on author Balzac. The cafe and garden are small but lovely. We had a short coffee break and enjoyed the views. The museum of the house is free but exhibits are cost. It's definitely off the beaten path. It's delicious on all accounts. Stop at some of the nearby parks, too, if walking back.
