Maison de Balzac
47 Rue Raynouard, Paris, France

Book the Maison de Balzac, an island of serenity with a view of the Eiffel Tower
The writer's hideout
It is rumored that Balzac lived at this address from 1840 to 1847 to escape his creditors. One cannot imagine a more charming hiding place for the man who lived under the pseudonym of "Monsieur Breugnol". Nestled on the slopes of Passy, the House of Balzac is the only one of the novelist's Parisian residences that remains today.
If the writer's residence is a survival of an ancient madness of a Private Mansion, excavations have allowed to attest the existence of troglodytic habitats of the end of the Middle Ages - the only ones known to this day in Paris. Here, then, is history within history, a testimony to the life and work of a resolutely Parisian author.
In order to encourage people to read and reread The Human Comedy, the museum offers an original and novelistic tour, while presenting the creations inspired by this universal work, signed by Auguste Rodin, Pablo Picasso, Louise Bourgeois or Pierre Alechinsky.
An exceptional setting for your professional receptions
The Maison de Balzac and its garden give you the opportunity to welcome your guests in a literary Mecca, which has kept the charm of the old village of Passy. From the garden, the guests of your business cocktail will enjoy this peaceful atmosphere, a little out of time. The hypnotic view, on the Eiffel Tower, is also to be savored.
For more intimate receptions, you will be equally seduced by the library. The atmosphere is studious as well as warm and will perfectly suit your press conferences, breakfasts or seminars.
Book the Maison de Balzac is to write the next chapter of your brand identity in an important place of French literature.
