Book The School of Jewelry Arts to make your professional event sparkle
The École des Arts Joailliers is delighted to announce the opening of its second Parisian site in the heart of the Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau. Located on the Grands Boulevards, this 18th-century Private Mansion listed building is one of the oldest private residences built and preserved in this part of Paris. The neoclassical architecture and gilded wood-panelled salons combine with the interior design by interior architect and designer Constance Guisset. Featuring noble materials such as oak and navy blue, these generously proportioned spaces are now home to L'École des Arts Joailliers activities: courses, lectures, children's workshops and exhibitions, as well as a library and bookshop. At the same time, L'École's historic address at 31 rue Danielle Casanova, just off Place Vendôme, is temporarily closed for a few months' renovation.
About L'École des Arts Joailliers
Founded in 2012 with the support of Van Cleef & Arpels, L'École des Arts Joailliers' mission is to disseminate jewelry culture to the widest possible audience. It is an introductory school, open to all, with no prerequisites. The School caters for the neophyte as well as the enlightened amateur, the jewelry collector as well as the simply curious. The School offers courses in three main areas: the history of jewelry, the world of stones and know-how. The courses are based on practical experience. Students experiment with gestures, skills and tools, guided by their teachers - art historians, gemologists and craftsmen. Other activities include exhibitions, books, videos and podcasts, as well as online and face-to-face conferences. Workshops have also been created for children and teenagers. The School now has five permanent addresses: two in Paris, one in Hong Kong, one in Shanghai and one in Dubai.

The courses
The School offers about thirty courses in French or in English.
The courses are based on experimentation and manipulation and require no prerequisites. Each class lasts from two to four hours and is always taught by at least two teachers. The classes are meticulously scripted and keep the students on their toes for as long as possible.
The School's teaching team is made up of jewelers, gem setters, designers, model makers, art historians, gemologists, lacquerers and enamellers.
These experts have all been trained to become excellent teachers, driven by the enthusiasm of transmission.
The list of courses is available upon request.
The exhibitions
The School organizes two exhibitions per year, allowing the public to discover different facets of the history of jewelry and various jewelers' skills.
As part of your privatization, it is possible to include a guided tour of the current exhibition.
