At the heart of this estate, the museum displays its collections in several prestigious buildings - the Château de Sceaux, the Orangerie, the Pavillon de l'Aurore and the Écuries - and offers a walk through history, from Colbert to the present day.

Book l'Orangerie du Château de Sceaux
Commissioned by the Marquis de Seignelay to Jules Hardouin-Mansart, architect to Louis XIV who was famous at Versailles, the Orangery of the Parc de Sceaux was completed in 1686. Today it serves as a showcase for a collection of marble and stone sculptures that adorned the Domaine de Sceaux during the Colbert era. The Orangery has thus regained its original vocation as an art gallery and provides an original setting for your events.

The Pavillon de l'Aurore, built in the early 1670s for Jean-Baptiste Colbert, then owner of the Domaine de Sceaux, is an exceptional building in two ways:
Its architecture, inspired by Italian models, makes it one of the rare surviving examples in France for the 17th century.
Its dome, painted by Charles Le Brun in 1672, with rich allegorical decoration on the theme of the Dawn.

Located in the heart of the Domaine de Sceaux, the 19th-century Château de Sceaux traces the history of the ancient seigneury of Sceaux, and features collections of paintings, graphic arts, ceramics and furniture evoking the history of this region of the Paris region.

Information and prices
The privatization of spaces is possible for a half-day (4 consecutive hours between 9am and 6pm), a day (from 9am to 6pm) or an evening (4 consecutive hours between 6pm and midnight) subject to availability and the cultural program of the departmental museums.
All requests for privatization must be submitted no later than two months before the desired date of the event.

A Beautiful and Peaceful Park!
We visited Parc de Sceaux on June 13, 2024, and had a wonderful experience. The park is incredibly spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic. The gardens are beautifully designed, with vibrant flowers, elegant fountains, and scenic walking paths. The Grand Canal and the château add to the charm, making it a great place for photography.
It's a perfect escape from the busy city, easily accessible by RER B. Whether you want to jog, read a book under a tree, or simply enjoy nature, this park is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
The park feels like an immersion in nature. You can reach there by taking RER B and getting down at 'le croix de Berny' and 3 mins walk. I visited in April and there was a lot of greenery. There is a small lake where you can go kayaking as well. The best part is the cherry blossom area where you can go for picnics.

Absolutely superb place, soany different gardens and places. Very clean and well talking care of, great for a walk, a bicycle ride or a picnic with the family. The Japanese cherry garden is amazing when it's on bloom! Definitely coming back again!
