Originally the Royal Library, then the Library of the Nation and the National Library, the National Library of France (BnF), so named since 1994, is today the national library of the French Republic. Heir to the royal collections built up since the end of the Middle Ages, it is one of the oldest French cultural institutions.
With almost 700 years of history, the BnF can welcome you in Paris in four venues :
- The François-Mitterrand site (13th)
- The Richelieu site (2nd)
- The Arsenal library (4th)
- The library - museum of the Opera (9th).
Each one marks an aspect of French heritage, offering unique and prestigious settings for your receptions. The BnF offers you the possibility of organizing your events by making available to you spaces in the library for private events: conferences, seminars, dinners, cocktails or private access to temporary exhibitions.
An event at the François Mitterrand site of the BNF
Every year, this site welcomes thousands of readers and visitors in its spaces. Come and organize your seminars, conferences, cocktail parties or dinners. Our auditoriums can accommodate 200 and 350 people each, the Belvedere up to 400 people and our two halls up to 800 people for cocktails or 350 people for a seated dinner.
Discover the Richelieu site of the BNF
Historic cradle of the National Library of France. The Richelieu site can welcome your guests for a visit of the site and its emblematic spaces: the Labrouste room, the Labrouste vestibule and the VIP lounge. Currently, part of the site is under construction but you can still organize cocktail parties, sit-down dinners and fashion shows.
In the heart of Paris, the Arsenal site
Ideally located in the heart of Paris, the Bibliothèque de l'Arsenal hosts cocktail parties, dinners and private visits. The unique collections and the salons where Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas and Alfred de Musset met are available for up to 80 people.
