The story of the beautiful Psyche
The Gallery of Psyche contains 44 stained glass windows in grisaille which tell the story of Psyche, taken from The Golden Donkey of Apuleius. The stained glass windows come from the château d'Ecouen, today the National Museum of the Renaissance. These panels were commissioned by the Constable Anne de Montmorency for the gallery of his
château of Ecouen (1542-1544).
