As a big fan of this artist and his family, I think this place is a must-see. The visit was actually too short! There were four of us, but apparently tours are limited to two people. We would have appreciated knowing this in advance. There was a bit of a mix-up before we went in, but we enjoyed it anyway.
The cocktails were delicious, too.
An incredible experience. Narrated room by room by Charlotte Gainsbourg, the Gainsbourg family has created a thoughtful and immersive experience. Entry is timed so you’re not sharing space with other guests, which further enhances the tour. Tickets are released every two months via their website and are limited, so sign up for their mailing list to secure your spot. P.S. — Photos inside the home are strictly prohibited, but exterior photos are allowed (and leaving a message or a cigarette butt) is encouraged :)
It was a very interesting experience with Charlotte Gainsbourg narrating the tour. We had a 10:30 slot but weren’t let in until 11. I appreciate that they limit the number of people at any given time, but the timing could have been planned a little better.
We toured the house and museum today. The tour of the house exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful and truly moving, with narration by Charlotte Gainsbourg (my favorite actress). All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. I’m so glad we took this tour. Don’t miss it.
A wonderful exhibition in a beautiful house—you can really feel Serge Gainsbourg’s presence, especially with his daughter Charlotte’s voice echoing in your mind. A magical moment.
