Book the Catacombs of Paris for an original professional event

An unusual tour in the heart of one of the most popular historical sites in Paris.

Where the heart of Paris beats

At the end of the 18th century, the Parisian authorities made a decision that would change the face of the capital forever: the evacuation of certain cemeteries under the old Tombe-Issoire quarries, under the plain of Montrouge. Exploited since at least the 15th century and then disused, these quarries constitute a small fraction of the labyrinth that stretches under the city on about 800 hectares.

In 1886, the quarries were even blessed and consecrated. They became the municipal ossuary under the name of Catacombs, in reference to the catacombs of Rome, object of public fascination since their discovery. However, it was not until 1809 that they opened their doors to the public and became a "monument" in their own right, attached to the history of the city.

Object of all curiosity, the catacombs of Paris were built in the galleries of old quarries whose stones were used for the construction of the capital. Twenty meters underground, the ossuary gathers the remains of several million Parisians. The presence of sentences, poems and other secular or religious texts adds a meditative dimension to the tour.

A unique place for an unforgettable professional meeting

The largest underground ossuary in the world, the Paris Catacombs are a must-see among Parisian monuments: a 1,500-meter long path at a depth of 20 meters, for an extraordinary visit.

Welcome your guests with a cocktail and offer them the chance to enjoy a unique experience by allowing them to visit the Paris Catacombs outside public opening hours.

The Most Beautifully Creepy Thing You'll Ever Do 💀🕯️🕳️ If you've ever wanted to walk through a literal tunnel of bones... congratulations, you've found your spot. The Catacombes de Paris are a chilling, fascinating, and oddly poetic dive into the underworld - no, seriously, it's 20 meters underground and yes, it's that deep. The vibe? Macabre, quiet, and unforgettable. You descend a narrow spiral staircase (take your time, it's not the friendliest on knees or claustrophobia) and find yourself in another world - miles of stacked skulls and bones arranged like a haunting art installation. 🦴🧱 Each section has signs marking the cemetery the bones came from, plus cryptic Latin phrases like "Remember you will die". It's heavy - but it's not grim. More like a whisper from the past reminding you how temporary we all are. Kind of poetic, kind of spooky. ✨☠️ Tips: - Wear comfortable shoes - it's damp, uneven, and involves a lot of walking. 🥾 - Bring a light jacket - it gets chilly in the tunnels. 🧥 - Not recommended for kids or anyone easily spooked - this isn't Disneyland. - Photography-friendly - no flash, but the low lighting actually adds to the drama📸

Bought tickets in advance...they sell out most days. Lots of steps up and down on spiral stairs! Some LOW ceilings for tall people. Husband is 6' and had to walk bent over for a stretch! Great experience, I learned more than I thought I would! Go! You'll enjoy it.

The Paris Catacombs are a unique place with a mystical atmosphere. Narrow tunnels, walls lined with bones, and dim lighting create a truly historic feel. I recommend getting an audio guide and booking tickets in advance. Be prepared for a steep descent of around 130 steps and a climb back up at the end. Not for the claustrophobic, but an unforgettable experience!

An amazing place with a dark history. The reasons for the creation of the catacombs is fascinating. The audio guide is very good and included in the price of the ticket. You can bring your own headphone to plug in but only USB C plugs. There are a lot os stairs at each end of the tour and a very long walk in small passageways at the start. There is a gift shop and toilets when you leave the tour. Be sure to book as it is sold out most days. A fascinating and somber tour.

Definitely a very unique experience and chance to learn a unique history but the website said to expect 1-1.5 hours inside but it was a lot shorter than expected. Even with the audio guide and stopping to take some photos of the bones, we did the whole thing in 30 min. Also the tickets are quite pricey for what it is I feel. And you have to buy tickets online and the tickets are only released 1 week in advance from the date you want to go.
