Palais Ducal
Book the Ducal Palace, Renaissance splendor in the heart of Nevers
Located in the heart of Nevers, this historic monument is distinguished by its elegant Renaissance architecture, characterized by the warm color of its Nevers stone facade and a slate roof. Formerly the residence of the Lords of the Nivernais, then the Palace of Justice until the 1970s, the building was renovated in the late 1980s to become a place of reception, culture and work. The Ducal Palace hosts more than 200 meetings, seminars and receptions, as well as about fifteen exhibitions per year.
Emblematic place of Nevers, the Ducal Palace puts its prestigious setting at your disposal for congresses, seminars and cocktails.
The Spaces available to hire of the Ducal Palace of Nevers
On the second floor, the Mazarin and Henriette de Clèves rooms have a neo-gothic woodwork decor with large windows overlooking the Loire Valley. They are versatile and can accommodate all types of events. They each offer a maximum capacity of 120 to 130 seats and 200 people for receptions. The Henriette de Clèves room is also equipped with a screen and a video projector.
On the third floor, three spaces are proposed:
- The Pierre Bérégovoy room, the City Council room, is installed under the very beautiful medieval roof structure. With a capacity of 40 to 80 seats, it is fully equipped for meetings and conferences (screen, video projection, sound system).
- The foyer of the City Council, with its red tiles and large marble table, is the ideal setting for small receptions (50 people).
- More intimate with its old gothic style fireplace and its large round table, the Gaston Roche room welcomes meetings of about fifteen people.
These five rooms are accessible to people with reduced mobility, the Henriette de Clèves and City Council rooms also have magnetic induction loops for the hearing impaired. You can call upon a caterer for snacks, cocktails, buffet dinners... as well as the Tourist Office for guided tours and activities such as karting challenges, boat or canoe outings.
